Do you want to be a bag? No, didn’t think so. But if you are interested in personalising your handbag check out Anya Hindmarch’s ‘Be a bag‘ service. Certainly something worth considering if you want to be unique!
For some time now we have been living in an era of hugely over-sized handbags. I must admit I am struggling with this trend. Mainly because the sheer size of them encourage you to put half your house in there. Which naturally results in it weighing a tonne. Not to mention that you can’t find a thing, because as we all know the very item that you want at any particular time is always at the bottom, farthest corner. And really, is it all that attractive walking around with something that could be mistaken for a suitcase?
But as with everything, it’s in the eye of the beholder. For what it’s worth, if you aren’t one of those who have a different handbag for every outfit I highly recommend that you buy a handbag in your best darkest neutral. As I have pointed out in this blog before, neutrals are the key to your wardrobe planning as it goes with all the other colours (that is if you have a colour co-ordinated wardrobe). In theory, I suppose you could also buy a bag in your best lighest neutral, but is there anything worse than a dirty-looking handbag – it doesn’t take much! Whichever you choose, you can’t beat neutrals for versatility!
For handbag inspiration I recommend you check out somucheasier.co.uk, a rather good guide to shops online.
